Ethiopia and EIB Global Discuss €80 Million Digitalisation and Energy Programme

Ethiopia and EIB Global discussed an €80 million financing component on 29 October 2026 for the Renewable, Integrated and Sustainable Energy and Digitalization Project. The proposed programme forms part of wider discussions covering €190 million in rural finance, energy and digital development. The €80 million amount is under discussion and should not be treated as a signed technology contract or completed investment.
