Arafura Starts Construction on US$1.6 Billion Nolans Rare Earths Project

On 27 October 2026, Arafura Rare Earths began construction of its Nolans project in the Northern Territory, following a funding package exceeding US$1.6 billion in committed equity and debt. The project will produce rare-earth materials used in electric vehicles, wind turbines and other clean-energy technologies, creating opportunities for mining contractors, environmental consultants and sustainable-supply-chain providers.
